What Exactly Is Natural Beauty?

Image
With so many natural beauty products out there, for our face, hair and body, it’s important to know exactly what natural means. This way you can choose products that will genuinely benefit you and the environment, and can avoid products that have been branded ‘natural’ simply because the marketing manager once owned a pot plant. In summary, a natural beauty product, such as a natural shampoo, natural sun protection, moisturizer or lipstick, is one that ticks several, if not all, of these boxes: It is free from harmful chemicals that can irritate the skin and do just as much damage to nature. More about those later. It includes naturally derived ingredients such as oils, vitamins and other extracts from fruit, vegetables, flowers and plants. In the case of mineral make-up, it might be made from minerals naturally derived from the earth, such as zinc oxide, titanium oxide, iron oxide and ultramarine, and, crucially, at the same time leave other harmful chemicals out...

All butterflies have "complete metamorphosis." To grow into an adult they go through 4 stages: egg, larva, pupa and adult. You can print out this  Butterfly Life Cycle coloring page  to follow along as we talk about the 4 stages.  The First Stage: The Egg  Butterfly Eggs on a Leaf A butterfly starts life as a very small, round, oval or cylindrical egg.  The coolest thing about butterfly eggs, especially monarch butterfly eggs, is that if you look close enough you can actually see the tiny caterpillar growing inside of it. Volcanic Eruption 🌋

Image
A  volcanic eruption  occurs when hot materials from the Earth's interior are thrown out of a  volcano .  Lava ,  rocks ,  dust , and gas compounds are some of these "ejecta". Eruptions can come from side branches or from the top of the volcano. Some eruptions are terrible  explosions  that throw out huge amounts of rock and  volcanic ash  and can kill many people. Some are quiet outflows of hot  lava . Several more complex types of volcanic eruptions have been described by  volcanologists . These are often named after famous volcanoes where that type of eruption has been seen. Some volcanoes may show only one type of eruption during a period of activity, while others may show a range of types in a series. The volcanic explosivity index (commonly shortened VEI) is a scale, from 0 to 8, for measuring the strength of eruptions. It is used by the  Smithsonian Institution 's Global Volcanism Program in assessi...

Beauty That Surrounds Us

Image
NATURE “I declare this world is so beautiful that I can hardly believe it exists.”  The beauty of nature can have a profound effect upon our senses, those gateways from the outer world to the inner, whether it results in disbelief in its very existence as Emerson notes, or feelings such as awe, wonder, or amazement.  But what is it about nature and the entities that make it up that cause us, oftentimes unwillingly, to feel or declare that they are beautiful? One answer that Emerson offers is that “the simple perception of natural forms is a delight.”  When we think of beauty in nature, we might most immediately think of things that dazzle the senses – the prominence of a mountain, the expanse of the sea, the unfolding of the life of a flower....

Beauty is the Ascription

Image
Beauty  is the ascription of a property or characteristic to an animal, idea, object, person or place that provides a perceptual experience of pleasure or satisfaction. Beauty is studied as part of aesthetics, culture, social psychology and sociology. An "ideal beauty" is an entity which is admired, or possesses features widely attributed to beauty in a particular culture, for perfection. Ugliness is the opposite of beauty. The experience of "beauty" often involves an interpretation of some entity as being in balance and harmony with nature, which may lead to feelings of attraction and emotional   well-being. Because this can be a subjective experience, it is often said that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder."Often, given the observation that empirical observations of things that are considered beautiful often align among groups in consensus, beauty has been stated ...
